Job Summary: Wallowa County ESD is seeking a Preschool Instructional Assistant to support the Wallowa Preschool classroom. This position assists the classroom teacher in providing a safe, calm, predictable, and supportive learning environment for preschool children. Duties include supporting classroom instruction, supervising students during indoor and outdoor activities, assisting with positive guidance and behavior management, maintaining confidentiality, and helping ensure children's safety, well-being, and development.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Applicants must meet instructional assistant qualification standards through higher education, an associate degree, or qualifying WorkKeys assessment scores. ORO Safety Set coursework and Pyramid Model training are also expected upon hire or over time.
