PATROL DEPUTY POSITION (Entry Level)

Salary and Benefits:

Current pay scale is $25.03 - $31.68 per hour.  Updated wage scale effective July 1, 2025 range will be $25.79 – $32.63

Intermediate Certification pay is 3% extra incentive of base hourly rate.

Advanced Certification pay is 6% extra incentive of base hourly rate.

Group insurance rates include: Basic Life Insurance Coverage, Statutory Life Coverage (for eligible employees) and Accidental Death & Disability.

H.S.A. county contribution of $1200 per year (Employee Only) or $2300.00 per year (Employee Plus Family Member(s))

PERS and optional deferred comp provided

What are the minimum qualifications?

Age: 21

High School Grad/GED: Yes

Valid OREGON Driver's License: Yes

Additional Requirements:

Must pass the pre-employment drug test

Must pass a pre-employment psychological exam

Must pass the pre-employment background check

Must have completed the ORPAT (Oregon Physical Agility Test) within one year from date of application.   

Must be able to work periodic overtime and a variety of rotating shifts including holidays and weekends.  

Pass a vision and hearing examination.
