JOB OPPORTUNITIES AT HIGHVIEW ANGUS RANCH!
#1 FULL-TIME, long-term
We are seeking an all-around, full-time ranch employee to work hands-on with the owner/operator in a long-established family ranch business in the scenic Wallowa Valley in Northeast Oregon.
We run 300 registered Angus cows. Extensive A.I. program.
We have a very nice processing facility with a brand new Silencer hydraulic chute with all the bells and whistles.
500 acres of irrigation with wheel lines, pivots, and some flood irrigation. Lots of electric fencing and intensive cell grazing. Reworking old pastures under a new irrigation system installed in 2017.
Haying & Feeding with quality John Deere net wrap round bales & new model specialized bale trailer. New heated shop. Some cattle experience required.
This is not a buckaroo nor a general manager position. We offer lots of potential for progress on the ranch and are looking for someone to be a part of our success.
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and “Get it Done” attitude.
Competitive wages. No housing available on the ranch, but we are only three miles from Enterprise, a quality small town.
Key functions: Cattle handling in pens and alleys on foot, pasture moves with dogs and ATV’s, feeding with tractors & round bales, calving, tagging, sorting pairs, electric and conventional fencing, irrigation, some tractor work, haying, & general maintenance.
Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license.
#2 SHORT-TERM OR TEMPORARY HELP
Students interested in a flexible, part-time, 2-3 day or weekend role, short-term employment requiring travel to Enterprise, OR, can find an excellent opportunity to learn and earn.
We need help with whatever is needed, depending on the season.
For the right person, this job opportunity could turn into a great summer and school break job or potentially a long-term career.
Good work ethic and “Get it Done” attitude are a must.
