Agronomy Office Administrator


JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Job Title: Agronomy Office Administrator Period: Full time permanent with benefits Wage: Negotiable with training and experience General Scope of Position: The office administrator position is the primary external contact for the division including in person customer reception, answering telephones, directing calls, processing orders as well as loading customers at times. Additionally, the position is strongly tied with inventory management and oversight as well as strong accounting principles and primary customer service. This position often coordinates activities between division employees, external supply companies, other company departments, and the administrative office making good communication skills a must. Responsibilities: 1.Provide excellent customer service. 2. Advertising and promotion as directed. 3. Inventory functions including general auditing, ordering, receiving, and price tracking. 4. Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, customer accounts, and reconciliation with delivery, blend, and scale tickets. 5. Accounts Payable functions including purchase orders, invoice processing, and reconciliation with inventory documents. 6. Work with company Information Technology (IT) Administrator to coordinate department IT functions related to computers, printers, internet, websites, email, and other applications, etc. 7. Loading and delivery of products as needed, including the use of forklifts and other company vehicles to do so. 8. Assist Department Manager with projects and special assignments as needed (i.e. preparing budgets, safety tasks, inventory projections, regulatory compliance, and meeting prep for example). Skills / Competencies / Requirements: 1. Initiative. 2.Organization skills. 3. High attention to detail. 4. Requires strong communication skills with both customers and fellow employees. 5. Capability to operate equipment as needed and with appropriate training (i.e. forklifts) 6. Willingness to work some seasonal overtime hours including weekends. 7. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude. 8. Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position often requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies up to 50 poundsassisted.
