JOB SUMMARY:
The professional role of the pharmacist is to provide quality pharmaceutical care as part of a multidisciplinary health team while maintaining alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, and values. Primary responsibilities include inpatient medication order verification, sterile IV and chemotherapy compounding in compliance with USP 800, supervision of pharmacy technician(s), assisting with development and implementation of policies and procedures, and participating in pharmacokinetics monitoring and dose adjustments. The pharmacist will be required to work independently and autonomously at times and will assume all duties of pharmacy operation in the absence of the pharmacy director.
