Purpose
Join a fast-paced production team manufacturing bundled firewood products. Team members safely perform all positions on the production line while maintaining product quality standards. This role requires cooperation, attention to detail, and constructive communication with coworkers.
Job Description
The firewood production team includes several key roles that work together to produce high-quality bundled firewood:

  • Sorter – Sorts pre-split firewood for size and quality, removes small, oversized, or reject material, and ensures correct packaging materials are in place.
  • Panner – Fills pans with split, dry firewood to create square bundles, communicates with the sorter and forklift operator, and maintains a steady pace and tidy workstation.
  • Stacker – Removes sealed bundles from the conveyor, stacks bundles on pallets according to pattern and count, operates the pallet wrapper, monitors quality, and communicates with panners and forklift operator.
  • Forklift Operator – Moves pallets of finished product, loads and unloads trucks, stages empty pallets, and safely operates forklift equipment in compliance with all safety procedures.
Essential Duties
  • Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the production team.
  • Maintain consistent pace and quality standards throughout the shift.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Manual dexterity to operate buttons, toggles, and switches.
  • Visual acuity for depth perception and color differentiation.
  • Must be able to consistently lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Work around moving parts and equipment
Qualifications
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Forklift Operator role requires successful completion of forklift driver certification.
  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required — training provided.
Schedule & Pay
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Entry level starting at $18/hour; compensation commensurate with experience
  • Opportunities for advancement and cross-training.
