Job Description

Performs various tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.  Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis in the following areas; bacteriology, hematology, serology, chemistry, blood banking and makes some morphological examinations.  Records laboratory test results and performs any related duties.

Requirements

Individual must have completed training from an approved school for Medical Technologists, including 12 consecutive month’s training or completion of a 4 year course approved school with a major in one of the Physical Sciences. In addition, they must be a registered member of one of the national agencies ASCP, HEW, NCA, AMT or an equivalent agency.
