JOB SUMMARY

This position is in constant contact with the public and must exhibit behavior that exemplifies our District mission statement to “Provide Premier Health Care”.  As a district employee, you are the patient experience. This position is responsible for preparation and service of the breakfast meal in the Hospital cafeteria to employees and visitors.  This position serves as a cashier during the breakfast and lunch hours of operation.  Prepares all items for the salad bar from approved menu.  This position is responsible for preparation and service of lunch items during the break time of the A.M. Cafeteria Kitchen Aide. Works closely with cooks to assure that food is prepared and on time for the cafeteria.  Performs cleaning duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Individual must have a Food Handler’s Certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days. They must have computer skills and the ability to read and understand menus and calculate recipes to assure that appropriate amounts are prepared for cafeteria customers. They must be able to communicate effectively with Food Service Director and other Food Service Staff.

Salary Range:  $17.71/hr + DOE
