Construction Job

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to spend a couple of months in the remote wilderness of the Wallowas!

The Minam River Lodge is an off-grid resort located deep in the Eagle Cap Wilderness on a historic property that overlooks the wild and scenic Minam River.  Lovingly hand-built log cabins and a beautiful modern Lodge provide accommodations for 36 people. The Lodge has been named by various publications as a premiere backcountry lodge.  

Our pre-season construction and maintenance period runs from April 3 - May 24.  We are hiring for laborers and skilled carpenters for the following projects:

• drywall and insulation
• shelving installation, interior fit out
• onsite material production- gravel, sand, boulders
• general property upkeep- fencing, culverts, bridges
• grounds maintenance- trails, brush, road repair

We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, self-directed, and mature individuals with excellent attention to detail. All staff live and work closely on property together, so please leave the drama, egos, and excessive alcohol and substance use behind.  We are here not only to improve and repair the property, but to be mindful caretakers and have a good experience doing it!  Be prepared to embrace a wide range of tasks.  A roundtrip flight in/out will be provided from the Enterprise Airport, as well as housing and all meals, 40-hr work week.
