Veterinary Assistant
We are looking for a reliable, compassionate and friendly veterinary assistant to join our up-and-coming small animal practice in Joseph, OR. This is a hands-on role working daily with dogs and cats, assisting with procedures from nail trims to dental cleanings and surgery. We will train the right person and starting wage will be based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Safely and gently restrain pets for exams and treatments
- Help with basic patient care and preparation for procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment
- Support the veterinary team and clients with a calm, professional, and compassionate approach
- Genuine care for animals with patience and gentleness
- Reliability, Good communication, and the ability to work as a part of a small team
- Prior animal-handling or veterinary experience is a plus but not required - we will train the right person
- A good sense of humor is Always a plus!
- Hourly wage based on experience
- PTO accrues after the first 6 months
