Stangel Livestock LLC/Stangel Bison Ranch in Enterprise, Oregon is looking for an experienced Farm/Ranch Hand. Please read full job posting before applying. Family owned and operated ranch. Not a cowboy job, no horses are used on our ranch. This is a full -time position requiring someone with a large range of experience, that is dependable, self-motivated, has problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to take and follow directions well. Needs to work well alone and with others. Needs to be willing to perform a wide variety of work. This is a long term position. A valid driver's license is required. Must be willing to live in Wallowa County Oregon. This job is physically demanding. Please only apply if you have experience in the required duties listed below. Pay depends on experience. Job Duties include but are not limited to:
• Harvesting 250 acers of multiple cutting hay (Cutting, Raking, Baling, and Stacking Hay. Primarily alfalfa, grass/ alfalfa, and grass hay)
• Irrigation (Hand line, Wheel line, Center Pivots)
• Checking/Repairing/Building Fence (High Tensile Smooth wire, Barbed wire, Woven wire, etc.)
• Livestock husbandry experience.
• Equipment Operation (Tractors, Backhoe, Loaders, Farm Trucks, Farming Equipment, Forklift, Four Wheeler, Side by Side, Pulling Trailers, etc.)
• Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance/Repair
• Facility and Building Maintenance/Repair
• Welding/Fabrication
• Working/Caring for Bison (500+ head)

Schedule:
• Generally 40-48 hours per week (Alternating Monday-Friday, Monday-Saturday). Work days are a minimum of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. with some days extended to finish jobs regardless of time.
• Weekends as needed but limited (feeding livestock, haying, irrigation)

Required to Relocate:
• Enterprise, OR 97828: Relocate before starting work
• We are a rural area and 65 miles from the nearest Walmart.

Pay: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour
