Who are we looking for? An outgoing, enthusiastic, friendly, resourceful Customer Service Representative (CSR) seeking a long-term career with a great company. This is a year-round, full-time, in-office position. We hire for attitude, ability, and cultural fit. We can teach you insurance! This position will involve a lot of processing paperwork and helping clients, so if that sounds intriguing, read on! You'll need to get a lot done by specific deadlines. You'll need to learn our computer system well and be diligent about accurate, well-written communications. You'll need to produce sometimes tedious, repetitive work with efficiency and a helpful attitude. The perfect candidate will have some office experience and love technology.

What's the job like? You will spend most of your day at your desk working on a computer, answering phone calls, and greeting visitors. About one fifth of your day will be spent standing or walking while you prepare documents for mailing, deliver mail, escort guests to their meetings, etc. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, use hands and fingers to operate phones, computers, printers, and office machinery. You will occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities
• First responder for incoming service tasks (walk-ins, calls, etc.)
• Perform service tasks (processing payments, scheduling appointments, updating customer account screens, taking a customer change request, filing, checking and contacting customers about alerts daily)
• Make outbound phone calls to schedule sales appointments for our agents
• Assisting producer/agent in the sales process
• Ensure client records are maintained and respond to client matters in a timely manner, including questions and issues surrounding claims, eligibility, enrollment, and rates
• Research and resolve coverage questions
• Perform commercial service tasks (commercial certificates, commercial renewal policy updates, non-renewals, cancellations and other policy changes, claim submissions)
• Establish/continue customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed
• Ensure client records are maintained and keep track of outside lines renewals in excel doc.
• Pull files and help producers/agents prepare for client reviews or renewals
• Assist commercial customers with audits when necessary
• Maintain office inventory and supply order lists, communicate with office staff Requirements
• Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old, have the ability to successfully complete a background check, and must currently possess or be willing to obtain a state P&C insurance license within 45 days
• License at the time of hire is not required, licensing fees will be paid for by employer
• Comfortable talking to people on the phone and using a computer
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and a calculator
• Type quickly and accurately
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Organized, structured, punctual and will follow the rules
• Patient, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, supportive, articulate, kind, ethical and honest, ability to keep customer information confidential is a must
• Customer Service experience preferred

Pay: $17-23 per hour depending on experience
