CITY OF JOSEPH – PLANNING DIRECTOR

The fastest growing community in the
Northeast corner of Oregon, the City of Joseph, population 1,350, is accepting applications for
Planning Director. Responsible for reviewing incoming development proposals, plans,
application materials for land use permits, managing complex development issues across a
variety of projects simultaneously, communicating with applicants, staffing Planning
Commission meetings and attending City Council meetings as needed, updating the City’s
development code and oversees the application of and compliance with city and state land use
policies and regulations, development and oversight of department budget. Work is performed
under the direction of the City Administrator. REQUIRES: Bachelor’s degree in urban planning,
public administration or closely related field with at least three years progressive experience. A
master’s degree in planning can substitute for one year of experience. SALARY: $4,600 to
