Description:
Students will learn how to record observations in nature—whether exploring their backyard or working in the studio. We’ll focus on the sights and sounds of the natural world, capturing them through art. Students will sketch and make notes in watercolor paper journals, then enhance their recordings using watercolor pencils to create “color notes” about their observations.
Instructor Bio: Judy holds a Master of Science in Water Chemistry & Fisheries Science and has a background in science illustration. She has taught Nature Journaling at the Community School and Sun Valley Center for the Arts in Ketchum, ID, Stanley Elementary School in Stanley, ID, and the Joseph Charter School and Wallowology Discovery Center in Joseph, OR.
