Youth Found Object Mobiles Workshop with Sylvia Friday!
Ages 5+
$25
Sticks and Stones! Shells and Bones! Mobiles are hanging sculptures that move freely in the air’s invisible currents. They use the principles of weight, movement and balance to create cool special effects. The materials to make a mobile can be put into three categories: rods, cords and interesting objects. Hanging sculptures are an art practice found all over the world. Rather than a solid object, mobiles continually redefine the space around them as they move. Traditionally hung in homes for good luck.
Pre-registration required.
Minimum number to run class is 4, maximum 8 students.
