Woodlands & Watershed Festival
We're Back! In recognition of our community’s valuable natural and cultural resources, the Woodlands and Watersheds Festival is a combined effort to celebrate, play, listen and learn about what makes our little corner of Oregon a wonderful place to live. After 17 years of putting on the Watershed Festival and 13 years of putting on the Maxville Gathering, Wallowa Resources and Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center are combining efforts once again to bring the Woodlands and Watershed Festival to our community! Our goal is to enhance the experience our community loves so much and make the day even more enjoyable.
The Woodlands and Watershed Festival is a chance for the community to connect with local organizations and learn about their work in a fun way. Over 25 local and regional organizations, like the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Building Healthy Families, and the Nez Perce Tribe Fisheries, participate each year. It has always been a family-oriented event, providing opportunities for all ages to learn about our county and surrounding region, through fun and engaging hands-on activities.
Festival Activities include:
- Fishing at the Nez Perce Tribe Fishing Ponds
- Live music
- Interactive kid activities at every booth
- Free hot dogs for kids
- Food concessions for all ages
