Women's Music Showcase
Josephy Center for Arts and Culture partner with the Wallowa Valley Music Alliance to present a special evening of music featuring local women, on Saturday, March 22. The concert starts at 7:00 PM and will round out the offerings at the Josephy Center’s Women’s Art, Women’s Vision exhibit this month.
Musicians featured include the string band Wild Honey (Laura Skovlin, Tammy Knorr-Kruger, Pat Cason and Sue Juve) with their sweet country-folk harmonies backed by banjo, ukulele, guitar and upright bass. Singer-songwriters Heidi Muller, Janis Carper and Carolyn Lochert will cover the folk, Americana, blues and jazz styles with originals and maybe a cover song or two. A special bonus feature will be the trio of June Colony, Pam Royes and Katch Josephy who will reunite for this rare performance after many years on hiatus. Many in our community have never heard the powerful vocal blend of these talented women. In addition to the wonderful music, poet Zanni Schauffler will read, and Pat Cason will also share some poems.
Come wind down the Women's Art: Women's Vision exhibit by enjoying a wonderful showcase of local women musicians.
