Wikipedia The Free encyclopedia
Interested in adding your own bit of knowledge to the world’s largest encyclopedia? Web designer Seth Kinzie will be leading a two-session workshop on how to navigate through and edit Wikipedia, the internet’s free encyclopedia. With other 4 million articles, and translated into over 40 languages, Wikipedia has emerged as the preeminent source of free information for the public, by the public.
We’ll spend the first class learning the necessary skills to add a new article, or edit an existing one, to its database. For the second class, participants will bring their own personal topics of interest to class, and we’ll individually add them to the encyclopedia. Attendants are encouraged to bring a laptop if they have one. No internet background necessary / register online at our website / contact Seth at seth@developeasy.com with any questions.
