Wallowa Land Trust Stewardship Event
Volunteers needed! Please join us on July 9th for a stewardship event on the Wolfe property. We will be removing invasive knapweed from the confluence area of the Wallowa and Lostine Rivers! Details below. Date: Friday, July 9th Time: 8am - 10am Location: Meet at the Old Willett Hay Shed (GPS coordinates 45.549980, -117.495768) RSVP: Please RSVP to sarah@wallowalandtrust.org no later than July 6th. Max capacity of 6 volunteers needed, first come first serve. About the work: We are removing invasive knapweed from this conservation easement site. In addition to displacing native plant species, knapweed increases water runoff leading to erosion and reduces forage for livestock and wildlife. No experience necessary to help with this project! Bring: Water, gloves, sunscreen, hat.
