Wallowa Land Trust Outing: Words of Nature On The Moraine
Words of Nature on the Moraine - Saturday, July 2nd: 9am-12pm
Join artist Jacob Hasslacher on his ponderosa pine woodlands of the East Moraine with writing nonprofit Fishtrap. There we will use all of our senses to creatively document our experiences wandering through the forested landscape. Participants are encouraged to express their creative selves by writing a story or poem inspired by their surroundings. Each participant will have access to an iPad from the Fishtrap Story Lab, a program whose mission is to “bridge the ancient art of storytelling with 21st century technology.” At the end of the outing, participants can share their individual experiences with each other and on Wallowa Land Trust and Fishtrap social media sites.
Outings fill up fast, so please contact us to reserve your space. In addition, many of our outings have heavy sun exposure and include hiking on hilly uneven terrain; it is important to be aware of your physical limitations and come prepared. Please dress appropriately for the elements and for the outing. Wear sunscreen and hiking boots and don't forget to always carry water.
Event Sponsors: Fishtrap & Wallowa Land Trust.
