Wallowa Lake Lodge Speakeasy Dinner Event
Party like it’s 1923! It’s time to have some fun as the Wallowa County winter wears on. 2023 marks the centennial year for the beloved Wallowa Lake Lodge near Joseph, OR. The “Speakeasy Event” is Saturday, Feb 11 from 5PM to 9PM at the Lodge and includes a dinner of salmon or Cornish game hen, one free drink, and live 20’s music by Robyn Burns and Amy Fairchild. There will be a cash bar as well. This is a 1920’s themed party where dressing up in 20’s style is encouraged. The 1920’s occurred during the prohibition era when alcoholic drinks were prohibited except for “medicinal” purposes. The silent movie, “The Winds of Time” was filmed at Wallowa Lake in 1923 shortly after the Lodge opened. We have obtained a copy of the movie which will be playing “silently” in the lobby. This is the first event sponsored by the Wallowa Lake Lodge celebrating the centennial year. The Lodge was purchased in 2016 by over 200 enthusiastic “lovers of the Lodge” in a public offering. The Nez Perce Tribe contributed significantly to the lodge purchase, buying a conservation easement that protects the adjacent Indian Creek, the Wallowa River, and the lakeshore
Costumes strongly encouraged!
The cost of the event is $50 per ticket and can be obtained by calling Wallowa Lake Lodge at 541-432-9821. Purchase tickets early as only 80 are available
