On Friday, November 6th the Wallowa County Food System Council will host a planning meeting to review community food activities from the past year, and set priorities and activities for the coming year. The council is an ad-hoc group of organizations and individuals working to improve food access, education and business opportunities in Wallowa County. Past activities have included community gardens, food preservation and cooking classes, farm-to-school field trips and garden education, and farmer/rancher network and farmers market support. Anyone interested in food system development is welcome to attend.
