Wallowa County Election Forum
The Wallowa County Election Forum in advance of the county’s special districts’ election May 20 will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Cloverleaf Hall in Enterprise.
Thirty-seven offices are on the ballot for members of special district boards, and only one seat has more than one candidate, according to County Clerk Sandy Lathrop, the county’s elections official. Farm owner Rowdy Smith and physician Nick West, who are competing for one seat on the Enterprise school board, have confirmed their participation.
Unopposed candidates for the other offices have been invited to introduce themselves, then meet and greet voters informally along with Smith and West after the program.
Voters unable to attend may view the program on Zoom. Sign-in details will be available on Facebook at Wallowa County Election Forum.
Ballots will be mailed to registered voters starting April 30. Lathrop will be available to register voters at the forum, and registration can be done at the clerk’s office in the county courthouse by April 29.
