The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance wraps up the 15th season of Tunesmith Night, a showcase of original music on Saturday, May 8. The performance will be streamed live to YouTube and the Music Alliance website at 7pm PDT and also shared on other social media. Viewers will be encouraged to show their support for the program via online donations.
This May 8 season finale edition of Tunesmith Night will feature two dynamic songwriting duos, Wanderlodge and Jezebel’s Mother.
Wanderlodge hails from Portland, Oregon, but has spent most of its time on the road. The duo formed in 2016 with Matt Cadenelli and Kris Stuart combining their love of classic rock and country with their own tunes, those of other favorite local songwriters, and a taste for the sunny, country rock sounds of LA and its surrounding canyons. The result is a new west coast, country rocking gem, and their recent recording Cypress Mountain Drive is an excellent example that really shines. Songwriters Carolyn Lochert and Janis Carper blend their talents to form a bluesy-rootsy-lively-lovely sound; swirling with rhythms and harmonies, sentiment and smiles, tight but spontaneous. Each performance is a musical adventure that reveals the bond of best friends. Whether they’re belting out blues on a big concert stage or crooning in the corner of a cozy coffeehouse, these two seasoned musicians entertain with soul and style.
