Tunesmith Night At Lear's Main St. Grill
Our monthly songwriter showcase continues on this Saturday. This month features songwriters Jacob DeBoie, Bre Paletta, & Justin Bennett
Having grown up in Wallowa County, Jacob DeBoie is now an aspiring jazz guitarist in Portland, Oregon. Trying his hand at creating his own music to tickle the soul, his tunes sample a wide range of musical genres and artists, from Dr. Dre to Wes Montgomery. With such a broad spectrum to draw from DeBoie’s music promises two things-- a funky beat and foot tapping good time.
Bre Paletta and Justin Bennett are the songwriters behind the Portland band The Sale. These two are independent thinkers who connected and started making beautiful music about the human experience.
"With poignant, piercing honesty and bittersweet reflection, the pair's songs speak to the joy and pains of everyday life that can’t be captured in everyday expression. Abundant and pressing at the seams with vivid metaphor and insightful wisdom, they let you see who they are and give you a glimpse inside yourself."
Their guitars and voices intertwine like ribbon, drawing influence from innovative heroes like Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, The Eagles, Sade and Tori Amos.
