The Future of Small-Business Investing Is Here
Meet Oregon Entrepreneurs & Learn About Local-Investing Options
ENTERPRISE, Ore. (Oct. 1, 2015) – Oregon has a new law that allows regular folks to invest in Oregon businesses, and encourages Oregon’s entrepreneurs to raise capital from their neighbors. The Northeast Community Capital Collaborative (NEOC3) and Hatch Oregon are teaming up to help Northeast Oregonians spread the word with evening presentations in Baker City and Joseph.
Meet four Oregon entrepreneurs who are harnessing the power of local investing:
- John Childers: Baker City Saddle Co. “opened a full service saddle shop in Baker City. In addition to our custom leather work we will be displaying assorted used saddles on consignment.”
- Stuart Phillips: Red Wagon Creamery “takes ice cream to the next level. No shortcuts, no pre-made base mixes, no weird preservatives or chemicals, no frozen berries – just ice cream that we make from scratch to showcase local, Oregon dairy, and using local, seasonal fruit, berries, and produce.”
- John MacDougall: MacDougall & Sons Bat Company “invented, manufactures and sells the toughest and best performing real wood baseball bat in the world.”
- Kyle Akin: Crescendo Organic Spirits “makes traditional Italian liqueurs referred to as ‘cellos’ in a variety of flavors: traditional lemon along with our orange and unique lime flavors.”
