Ranger Casey will virtually show you a fur trapper’s cabin and offer the history of Oregon’s fur trapping trade.
Ranger Casey: Ranger Casey is a lifelong resident of Oregon. Casey’s first ancestors to the Oregon Territory in the 1850s and settled in the Mayville area of Wheeler County. Ranger Casey has been working at the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center since 2018, where he specializes in fur trade era, historic weapons, gold mining, and early agriculture in Eastern Oregon. Ranger Casey enjoys sharing stories about cowboying, buckaroo-ing, and tall tales.
