State Parks Day at Wallowa Lake
Celebrate Oregon State Parks' centennial year at Wallowa Lake State Park with a volunteer event that will help prepare our park for the next 100 years. Meet at the "Nature Trail" trailhead in the Marina parking lot (opposite the inlet) between 9am-noon. There is plenty of parking available in front of the adjacent Fish Cleaning Station and Marina lots. From here, we will head up along the trail to the park boundary and toward the campground cutting back overgrown brush, covering social trails, and improving the trail where it is difficult to follow. Refreshments and basic tools will be available, but please bring comfortable outdoor wear and gloves if you have them available! There will also be self-guided activities available all summer long at the park's Information Station near the campground entrance where you can earn junior ranger badges, join in pop-up events, and re-discover your park.
