Simone is a multi-discipline artist drawing on over 25 years of experience as a musician, writer, performer, and producer.
“When humanity is at risk, I believe the study of the Humanities is paramount to our preservation and actualization as human beings. I believe the Arts are a medium through which we communicate our ethereal existence through material means. It’s how we validate with one another that our essential experience is indeed shared. That’s why I’m compelled to create art.”
Simone’s recent projects include playing lead guitar for a New Orleans-based soul-pop and funk band, writing and directing “Back to the Drawing Board” – a public access arts education TV show, and “Songbook” – a musical memoir covering over 50 of her original songs and the stories behind them.
