The Josephy Center is honored to present Molly Gloss to our ‘Year of the Horse’ program. Her writing touches the core of the horse lover’s heart with wonderful books like The Hearts of Horses and Falling From Horses. In Wallowa County, horses are everywhere and are an integral part of many peoples lives whether it’s for work or play.
Molly Gloss is a fourth-generation Oregonian who lives in Portland. She is the bestselling author of The Jump-Off Creek, The Dazzle of Day, Wild Life, The Hearts of Horses and Falling From Horses. Her work has earned numerous awards, including an Oregon Book Award, a Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award, the PEN West Fiction Prize, the James Tiptree Jr. Award; and a Whiting Writers Award.
Molly Gloss is brought here with the help of Fishtrap, the Collins Foundation, and the Oregon Cultural Trust.
