Hootenanny & Shoofly Pie Social
Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 22--it's the Wallowa Valley Music Alliance spring fundraiser--the tenth annual Hootenanny & Shoo-fly Pie Social at the Enterprise Odd Fellows hall. The theme of this year’s popular fundraising event is Rivers, featuring an all-star cast of local performers, presenting songs about rivers in a variety of musical styles. Performers featured at the Hootenanny include The Burns Family, Jesse Borgerding, Janis Carper, Larry Haney, Ted Hays, Jennifer Hobbs, The Local Yokels, Carolyn Lochert, Heidi Muller & Bob Webb, Nick Porter, John Raines, The Samples Family, Trilby Shirley, Laura Skovlin and more. This year's event will also feature special guest emcee, Dan Maher. Maher is the host of Northwest Public Radio's Inland Folk, and a highly talented and entertaining performer.
And…let there be PIE! Each year an impressive variety of home-baked goodness is lined up for concert-goers to sample for a mere $1 per slice, with a chance to vote for first, second and third place. Bring your best pie and win a prize! There will be a 50/50 raffle too. Proceeds from the Hootenanny go directly to fund Music Alliance programs, so please come on out and show your support at this fun-filled, family-friendly event. Admission will be $10 There will be food and drink available for purchase.
