Description: Santa, Mrs. Claus and Rudolph recount the tale of the Christmas where it all went dangerously off the rails. A goofy Christmas caper! Auditions for cast of characters open to students in Grades 1-4.

“WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS”- A Musical by Amy Fairchild
Description: This hilarious and heart-warming tale follows a quirky group of friends over the course of their holiday season. Auditions for cast of characters open to students in Grades 3 – 6.
CAST OF CHARACTERS:
Ricky: (boy or girl) obsessed with video games, high energy, bouncy, goofy
Melody: (girl) loves all things music, convinced she will be the next American Idol/Taylor Swift etc
Nate: (boy) sarcastic, big personality, always has a comment for everything
Roger/Rhonda: (boy or girl) science geek, extremely polite and intelligent
Janet: (girl) cheesy goofball, always has a joke or pun for everything, center of attention
Elwood: (boy) if Eeyore was a kid, he would be Elwood. Always wears a hoodie, black clothes, down in the dumps, but has a good heart (Emo kid)
Mark: (boy) in his own little world, always has his headphones on to listen to his beats/music; no one thinks he’s every paying attention; secret genius
Narrators: 2 kids who introduce each scene and welcome the audience/introduce the show and each scene. These important cast members are also the “crew” and will help with props, costumes, and set changes.
- Acting roles will be assigned at the sole discretion of the director.
- If your student is not assigned an acting role, they will have a role in the chorus (singing and choreography).
- By auditioning, your student agrees to be cast in a role in either play (or in the chorus in either/both musicals).
