Heidi Muller & Bob Webb CD Release Concert
Heidi Muller and Bob Webb are celebrating the release of their new CD, Dulcimer Moon, in concert at Lear’s Pub and Grill, 111 West Main St. in Enterprise on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 7:00 pm.
Heidi Muller and Bob Webb perform an eclectic mix of original songs and music from the Appalachian tradition. Their concerts feature Muller’s songwriting and their unique instrumental arrangements with guitars, mountain dulcimers, electric cello, mandolin and bowed psaltery. Listeners often comment that Muller has one of the clearest voices in folk music, compared to Judy Collins and Kate Wolf. Her song, “Good Road,” has been the theme song of Northwest Public Radio’s Inland Folk show for over 20 years. Webb was one of the founding members of the Mountain Stage house band, from the syndicated radio show broadcast over National Public Radio.
They have just released their new CD, Dulcimer Moon, described by Cindy Funk of Dulcimer Radio/Live 365 as “a gorgeous album, just lovely from the first note to the last.” It starts with a jaunty Jimmy Buffett-style original title cut and continues with instrumentals from old-time medleys to “Over the Rainbow.” They also recorded Muller’s song “Cassiopeia” with dulcimer and cello, and a cover of the song, “Turn Around,” about a girl growing up, that was heard in Kodak commercials in the ‘60’s. Dulcimer Moon is the eighth CD for Muller and the third for the duo.
Muller and Webb will perform new songs from Dulcimer Moon plus a few favorites from their other CDs. Doors will open at 6:00 for those who wish to order dinner. Please make reservations by calling (541) 426-3300.
