Haunt Camp Spooky Story Slam
Get ready for a night of chills, thrills, and storytelling! Fishtrap and Haunt Camp are excited to announce the Spooky Story Slam, happening on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 7-9pm at Cloverleaf Hall in Enterprise.
The FREE, family friendly event and story contest is open to all ages and promises an evening full of fun. The night kicks off with a variety of classic readings on a set created by Haunt Camp students. After a refreshment break, the story slam contest begins, with people sharing short tales of their own creation.
"This is a great opportunity for people to come together to enjoy each others' creativity and experience the enduring power of words to get our hearts pumping and imaginations racing," said story curator Jennifer Hobbs.
Aspiring writers and storytellers can submit their short (less than five minutes) original spooky stories to jennifer@fishtrap.org by October 21 to enter the contest. Selected finalists will have the chance to read their stories during the slam, and a panel of judges will award prizes to the best storytellers of the night.
Join us at Cloverleaf Hall for an evening of classic spine-tinglers, refreshments, and original spooky tales. Whether you're there to listen or compete, it's bound to be a night of spooky fun you won't forget!
