About This Workshop
Discover the satisfaction of creating pottery that is both beautiful and functional in this three-session ceramics series with instructor Kate Kucera.
Designed for beginners and returning clay artists alike, Functional Ceramics focuses on hand-building techniques used to create everyday pieces such as mugs, bowls, plates, and other useful forms. Throughout the class, students will learn foundational skills while exploring their own creativity and developing pieces that reflect their personal style.
Whether you’re making your first mug or expanding your ceramic practice, you’ll enjoy a supportive studio environment where experimentation is encouraged and every project is uniquely your own.
By the end of the series, you’ll have a collection of handmade pottery ready to use at home or give as thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts—and perhaps a few new friends who share your love of working with clay.
All clay, glazes, tools, and kiln firings are included in the class fee.
Pre-registration is required. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.
