December Book Group: Little Literary Works
Our current exhibit in the Josephy Center is “Little Works,” all works of 10 inches on a side or less. They are all for sale and you can take them off the wall and send them away as Christmas gifts or put them on your crowded walls.
So–rather than picking a book to read in these busy holiday days, we chose some little literary works. Like with the paintings and drawings, “little” does not have to do with quality.
Download or read online the following “Little Literary Works” HERE and then join us at noon on Tuesday, December 13, at the Josephy to talk about these short pieces
The four selected short stories are as follows:
“Short Happy Life of Frances McComber,” Ernest Hemingway
“Borges and I,” Jorge Luis Borges
“The Ones Who Walk Away from Omeles,” Ursula K. Le Guin;
“All Summer in a Day,” Ray Bradbury,
And a Bonus:
“The Summer of the Beautiful White Horse.” William Saroyan.
