Community Conversations: Health Care
The Josephy Center received a grant from Oregon Humanities to have a series of community conversations discussing private and public goods and services. What do businesses, churches, clinics, farms and ranches provide for us as individuals in this community; and what do the same provide to the community as a whole. A church nourishes the soul—and gives us congregation and community; a farmer feeds his/her family, hires help, and helps make the local economy churn; our healthcare system provides direct care, employment, and contributes to community health and safety.
Please join us for the first in a series of six community conversations on Tuesday, April 22, at noon at the Josephy Center. The theme of conversation number 1 is Health Care, and a panel of three will be led by Wallowa Memorial CEO Dan Grigg. This will be followed by Tuesday programs in May and June centering on Main Street, Religion, Tourism and Recreation, Natural Resources, and our Community Non-Profits.
