A very special Pakistani presentation by foreign exchange student, 15-year-old Momina Junaid. She hails from Gujrat, Pakistan, in Punjab province. Her topic will be: “What foreigners need to know about Pakistan”. She will be introduced by Seth Kinzie, who will speak briefly of his educational trip to Lahore to visit an interfaith organization, Peace Ambassadors Pakistan, earlier this Spring. Momina is here on a YES! Scholarship through AFS. This scholarship by the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program is an innovative high school exchange program funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. This public diplomacy initiative builds bridges of international understanding, especially between Americans and people in countries with significant Muslim populations.
