Brown Bag is a free event that feature informal presentations and discussions on the first and third Tuesday noons of each month. The featured speaker today is Judy Allen. She has made a study of the life and work of Abigail Scott Duniway, the iconic woman suffrage leader in Oregon, Washington and Idaho and considered the ‘Mother of Oregon.” Duniway’s efforts are significant in light of the struggle for women's rights and women's place in American and world politics. Recently Allen looked at Duniway’s travels to eastern Oregon as she built the Oregon State Equal Suffrage Association.
Join us on Tuesday. We provide the coffee--well, Bennett Insurance, the sponsor for all of our Brown Bag programs, is now buying the coffee. Thank them when you see them!
