Bat Box Day on the West Moraine
Wallowa Land Trust and The Nature Conservancy are partnering up again to place bat boxes on the Land Trust’s West Moraine Preserve. Join us in our mission to provide habitat for local bats listed as sensitive in the state of Oregon and learn something new about the different species of the area, including the Hoary Bat, California Myotis, and Pallid Bat, all pictured above. Volunteers: meet at the Land Trust's Enterprise office (116 S River St) by 8:30 am to carpool to the moraine. We have light work gloves but encourage you to bring your own if you have a pair.
