'Art and Antiques Road Show' at Josephy Center
Area residents are invited to participate in the “Art and Antiques Road Show” set for Sat., April 20 and Sun., April 21 at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture, 403 N. Main St. in Joseph, Ore.
Certified appraisers from Maurer Appraisals LLC of the Tri-cities, Wash., area will be present to provide valuations of local art and antiques. The event is a fundraiser for the Josephy Center and a fee of $6 per item will be charged per evaluation.
Aside from bringing in appraisal items, area residents and visitors are also most welcome to watch the Roadshow event take place, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Registered with the State of Washington and a member of the Certified Appraisers Guild of America, owners Terry and Kathy Maurer have been dealers in art and antiques for more than 25 years. They have provided personal property appraisals and valuation services to public and private clients across the Northwest – including museums, law enforcement agencies, university officials, and NW Public Radio – and have served as production staff with Public Television’s popular “Antiques Roadshow”.
There is no limit to the number of appraisal items that anyone can bring in, either as walk-in appraisals or by appointment by calling the Josephy Center at 541-432-0505 or info@josephy.org.
A silent auction has been underway at the center since March 30 and will conclude on Sun., April 21 at 3 p.m. Bids can be made Mon.-Sat. from 12-4 p.m. and winners need not be present at the bid closing to win.
