Animal Encounters with Jennifer Hobbs and Kathy Hunter
An In-Person Workshop and Storytelling Gathering
For as long as people have been gathering together, we’ve shared our experiences with animals through the tradition of oral storytelling. In this 90 minute workshop, you will distill a favorite animal encounter (domestic or wild), crafting a short piece to share out loud. We will explore the dos and don’ts of building a good story, learn from an expert storyteller, discuss how to create effective story arcs, and discover ways to deliver a story people will remember. No prior writing or public speaking experience required. Several participants will have the opportunity to share their piece during the community performance following the workshop.
