Alpenfest
Oregon's Little Switzerland. Polka music and Yodeling, Alphorns, Bratwurst, Beer and Wine. Oregon's Alpenfest is a fun-filled four-day celebration of Swiss and Bavarian culture, cuisine and liquid refreshment in Wallowa County, Oregon's Little Switzerland. Enterprise, Joseph and Wallowa Lake host polka music, folk dancing, alphorn blowing and Swiss yodeling plus consumption of Joseph Trading Post bratwurst, the official sausage of Alpenfest; Terminal Gravity Vienna-style Alpenfest ale; and Lathrop Country Wines Polka-Up Wein, a dry-style Riesling. Today's activities begin with a breakfast from 8-11am at the Edelweiss Inn. The Alpine art, antique, and craft fair runs all day and the Alphorn-blowing contest, & the Alpenrace. The Polkatones, Lisa Ward, & Tirolean Dancers will begin playing at 7pm and German hip-hop with DJ at Edelweiss Inn.
