Alpenfest

Oregon's Little Switzerland. Polka music and Yodeling, Alphorns, Bratwurst, Beer and Wine.  Oregon's Alpenfest is a fun-filled four-day celebration of Swiss and Bavarian culture, cuisine and liquid refreshment in Wallowa County, Oregon's Little Switzerland.  Enterprise, Joseph and Wallowa Lake host polka music, folk dancing, alphorn blowing and Swiss yodeling plus consumption of Joseph Trading Post bratwurst, the official sausage of Alpenfest; Terminal Gravity Vienna-style Alpenfest ale; and Lathrop Country Wines Polka-Up Wein, a dry-style Riesling.    Today's events begins at noon with a Main Street procession along Main St., of Joseph, Alpine Art, Antique & Craft Fair.  The Polkatones, Lisa Ward & Tirolean dancers will play at 7:00pm and after hours with German Hip-Hop DJ at Joseph Community Center.
