DESCRIPTION:The Annual Citizen Awards Banquet for Wallowa County is this evening.  The theme for this year's banquet is Hats off to Our Heroes!  The Citizen Awards Banquet recognize individuals within our county that have gave of themselves to make Wallowa County the greatest place to live.  There will be dinner\, music\, table gifts\, raffle baskets\, games\, centerpiece drawings\, tradeshow tables and a social hour.\n\n\n\nWhat makes Wallowa County so special?  Well\, you do\, and the people that serve our communities!  People reaching out to protect our families\, neighbors\, and friends.  This summer there were many faced with the threat of wildfires on their property and personal safety. This sparked community awareness.  We all witnessed what happens when tragedy strikes.  Many individuals were there to respond and keep us safe.   \n\n \n\nIt's about time to recognize our local heroes.  Please join us this year as we say thank you to our firefighters\, policemen\, search and rescue\, medical responders and EMTs\, and all first responders serving Wallowa County.  As you consider the award categories this year\; we invite you to keep an eye-out for that individual you know that is an Unsung Hero.  Mark your calendar for January 31st and attend this year's special banquet!
