The program is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about these two countries. Linda Hilderman of Lostine traveled to Nepal and Tibet in 2006. Her stunning photos range from the rugged beauty of a base camp on the north face of Mt. Everest at 16\,000-ft. elevation\, to travels throughout Tibet at heights of 13\,000-ft. elevation and including the lavishly-ornate Potala Palace at Lhasa. The program is one in a series presented through the Wallowa County Rotary where area residents share their photos and experiences of travels to other countries. Current international aid efforts by the Wallowa Rotary include starting a library in remote Costa Rica and providing scholarships to high school students in El Salvador.
