DESCRIPTION:The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance\, in partnership with the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture and Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts presents the fourth annual Summer Arts Classic on Sunday\, September 16\, 2018 at 4:00pm. \n\n\n\nThis year's program\, Woodwinds in the Wallowas will feature clarinetist Shannon Scott\,  flutist Leonard Garrison and pianist Karen Hsiao Savage. Pieces performed include Debussy Afternoon of a Faun for flute\, clarinet\, and piano\, Robert Russell Bennett's Suite for flute and clarinet\, Dvorak's Slavonic Dance Suite for flute\, clarinet\, and piano\, and Cavallini's R verie Russe for flute\, clarinet\, and piano. In addition\, Mark Eubanks and Lauren Nebel will join the duo with short pieces by Czech composer Leos Janacek\, plus an arrangement by Mark Eubanks of the Shaker hymn\, Simple Gifts.
