Students will learn\n\nthe basics of centering clay\, opening and pulling\, shaping vessels\, trimming\,\n\nand developing good wheel-working habits all while getting plenty of time\n\nto practice.\n\n \n\nBrett brings extensive experience as a ceramic artist and longtime member\n\nof Portland's ceramics community. He is a co-founder of Mudshark\n\nStudios\, a nationally recognized ceramics production company\, and has\n\nbeen involved in teaching\, exhibiting\, and supporting the ceramic arts for\n\ndecades.\n\n \n\nThis class is designed for beginners\, but anyone looking to strengthen their\n\nwheel skills is welcome. Expect plenty of clay\, lots of practice\, useful\n\ninstruction\, and the occasional reminder that the clay has a mind of its own.
