Set in 1959 Oregon, four young friends- Gordie, Chris, Teddy and Vern- embark on a two day hike to find a missing teenager's body, transforming a quest for local hero status into a profound journey of self discovery. Along the way, they face challenges including a confrontation with local bullies, and discover inner strength, marking a pivotal coming-of-age experience.
