Fishtrap's Fall Arts & Lecture Series Finale: Life and Legends of Calamity Jane
Author Richard Etulain comes to the Fishtrap House to tell us how the life of Martha Jane Canary stands up to the legends about Calamity Jane. Etulain, a former director of the University of New Mexico's Center for the American West and the son of a Basque sheep herder, comes to Wallowa County on tour for his new book, "The Life and Legends of Calamity Jane," just out from the University of Oklahoma Press. A reception, Q & A session, and book signing will immediately follow Etulain's presentation. Already in the Halloween spirit? Fishtrap invites you to attend dressed in your most calamitous duds in honor of Jane's legacy, and for a chance to win a prize as the Fall Arts & Lecture Series comes to a close.
